#IamRemarkable workshops strive to empower women and underrepresented groups to speak openly about their accomplishments in the workplace and beyond, thereby breaking modesty norms and glass ceilings. These workshops are a Google initiative and as of July 2022, over 400,000 individuals from across 170+ countries have participated in these workshops.
Many of us struggle when it comes to talking about our own accomplishments. Cultural and gender modesty norms as well as impostor syndrome can prevent women and underrepresented groups from acknowledging their remarkable attributes and expressing their achievements. This tends to reinforce existing unconscious biases that then get in the way of achieving true diversity and inclusion in our workplaces and communities.
